This San Francisco home in the Mission was designed to feel calm, useful, and lived in. We used a soft grey wash on oak cabinetry to bring texture and warmth to the kitchen, with an island that gives extra space to cook and display the client’s favorite ceramics. The bathrooms have floating wood vanities that balance the metal and glass finishes, and the laundry room is all about practical storage. In the living room, we built a slatted wood wall around the fireplace to add depth and natural texture. The result is clean and modern without feeling cold.
