Open Standard

Open Standard collaborated with interior designer Susie Novak on custom storage for her design firm in Oakland, California.

The goal was to create a highly functional storage system to house product samples, project material collections, and office supplies. To fit with the existing aesthetic of the space, Open Standard created a large credenza using walnut and paint with touch latch closures, allowing the character of the walnut grain to read continuously across the fronts without interruption.

The result is simultaneously a timeless workhorse, housing the firm’s sample library, and a showcase piece, speaking to the firm’s love for functional and beautiful interior solutions.
